Being at a bar when a fight breaks out constitutes "acting like animals or thugs?"

Actually, I'd rather a leader not be there in the first place, and strongly discourage his team to do the same.

Leadership is about leading. By breaking curfew (regardless of the "tradition"), he lead the team to Shady's. That's leading in the wrong direction.

I just don't understand why people keep slamming JJ!!!

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I agree. Why kick a guy when he's down?

Oh, wait......

OK....funny guy............one day when you have a kid who gets unfairly accused of something to this extent, you will see!!!

Then we have no "leaders" on this team.

don't worry about discussing how Lee and Mett were also out that night, just at a different bar. It will not be believed by this group.

He didn't start a fight. He didn't engage in the fight. I'm sure he would have rather walked away. However, he helped pull LSU players away from the fight.

Would you rather a leader just walk away from his teammates?

Then why is he being charged and appearing before a GJ? Are you going to testify for him?

I'll take the common sense bait and say he is referring to the ADA's that have assisted

SO a leader should tell the entire team not to go out. Eventhough it's been a tradition for the past 15 to 20 years to go out on the last day of 2 days and when it has been made clear that they were given a "soft curfew"

some of you people simply do not know how to use common sense in these issues and like to get on your soap box and preach that Jefferson is in the complete wrong in this situation.

I agree with AM. I don't see it being a problem for JJ to be there. He's a young man probably out for fun or whatever they go out for?? I know I did it when I was that age!!

You act like no one in the history of the US justice system has been falsely charged for a incident.

I don't know if JJ did anything wrong nor do you,so why say that? He hasn't been a problem from the beginning of his career at LSU. One night out with the boys and it about ruined his entire life???

I don't believe it ruined his entire life. He still has a scholarship to get his education which is what he should be in school for. He did lose his priveledge not RIGHT to play football for LSU. In which he will get back if innocent in which I hope happens and believe eventually will.

Now where he will stand with his team is another issue

The "witnesses" include Lowery. You'll be hard pressed to find a single witness in this whole affair who has less credibility.

quote:

Jefferson's story has changed several times, and he is very incredible.
How has his story changed at all? He has always maintained that he was not involved in the fight. Then, of course, there is always the issue of the DNA. The BRPD went to a SHITTON™ of effort to get some physical evidence, and whiffed 0-49.

quote:

Lowery . . . didn't have bad injuries (a microfracture to face). Hard to see "intent to inflict serious bodily injury" there.
The DA has to prove serious bodily injuries beyond a reasonable doubt. Yes, the lack of serious injuries is another reason why the DA does not want to try this case, let alone as a felony case.

quote:

The GJ will return simple battery. JJ will plead and get PTI, have it wiped from his record, and never play football at LSU again.
I doubt that Jefferson or Unglesby would agree to a plea if it meant that Jefferson could never play football at LSU.

So one one is fit to be QB at LSU?

You're forgetting the fact that if JJ didn't kick this kid in the head that someone who is playing football as we speak did commit this crime.
