It is hard to compare the two as black and white.
For LSU this was an OOC game between two big conference games. Let down city.
For Boise St., La. Tech was a big conference game for them. Easy to get up for that game.
The difference is in the schedules.
That being said, I'm glad we didn't play Boise St. last nite.

Jesus, how can you seriously say this?

We were missing a lot of our key players, coming off of a hard fought game which we lost, and playing like we didn't really care.

If Boise wants to come take a loss in Baton Rouge, send them on down.

How can you forecast a game like that when it is 2 years away?

Wow.

Denial isn't just a river in Egypt. Apparently it flows directly through the heads of some LSU fans.

Let this serve as an undeniable example of how college football fans are more interested in validation than they are in objectivity.

Also, you might be interested in this comment from www.neworleans.com:

"And one parting note: LSU's struggles with Tech should have legitimized Boise State as a top-10 team in the mindsd of many skeptical southerners. After all, Boise beat Tech by 10 (45-35) in Ruston one week earlier, while LSU struggled to win by eight on its home field."

(see LINK )

WE'D LOVE TO PLAY LSU in 2011!

It would be an epic game that'd get a TON of publicity for both programs and would be a blast to watch!

When you are a team that considers yourself champion caliber you don't run from good teams. You want to play them.

I bet you are one of the same people that say Boise State does not play anyone. Yet you dont want to play us. Would you believe every WAC team is up to play us. They all give us their A game.

WAC teams? You said it all right there. Come play in the SEC where everyone is up every conference game. Most take non-conference games off.

Boise has a good team and probably could be competitive with anyone in a bowl game, but to play in the SEC they would have to have a lot more than they have year in and year out. Anyone that knows anything about college football would agree, and infact have agreed. Thats why its so hard for Boise or any other non-BCS school to bust the BCS. Those are facts, not rants.

When the SEC plays OOC outside of their stadium then I will look at them as being strong. If all SEC plays patsies in their OOC How does one know if the SEC is really that strong?

Props to LSU for traveling to Seattle for an OOC game. You are in the huge minority there. Florida can walk to all of their OOC games and 75% of all FCS football would win on their OOC scedule. Yet they are so tough?

They are given a pass simply because they are the great SEC.

I've long proposed every BCS conference team should have to play at least one OOC BCS conference team on the road every year.

The SEC could start the ball rolling on this, by requiring it in its member schools.

IMO, Boise is a better team than LSU. The defenses are about the same, but Boise has a much better offense.

Does Boise get the yearly BCS cash and ESPN/CBS dough to recruit with too? Why don't you compare the two athletic budgets of the two and then get back with me about who does more with what they've got.

This "if they played int he SEC" argument is weak because it never takes the full benefits of a conference like the SEC into consideration.

Now, if that isn't a shot across the bow and a wakeup call for LSU fans, I don't know what is.
