Talking about Les Miles, LSU's question mark is QB, LF7 vs McCaffery for Hesiman, etc

Not tired of hearing everyone's opinion on this at all.

Will be an interesting season-long storyline. Would be fantastic to see them go nose to nose in the playoff.

After 7 of 8 years of weak QB play (with 5 different QBs) I have a hard time saying LSU's question mark is QB. I think LSU's question mark is Les and whether he is willing to trust and allow and his QB to be a playmaker rather than just a guy who is out there "not frick up." Maybe it's just me, but when I see a long term problem where 6 different people are blamed and there is only 1 constant throughout that time, I tend to think the problem might be with the 1 constant rather than the 5 changing variables

True. That's basically what Booger says as well.

Yes it is you. And anyone else who thinks like that. This will be the second time in the last seven seasons that we have a quarterback coming back with experience. Why not hold all of our opinions until after the season when we see what happens with an experienced signal-caller.

Blame it on Les but we've also been EXTREMELY unlucky at the QB position in terms of kicked off the team, last minute bailouts, and no chest ect.

We seemed to have it under control until Perrilloux. Just never really recovered other than Mett.

1. Perrilloux happened in 2008. It's time to move one from that
2. The Zach Lee phenomenon needs to stop. There's absolutely no way anyone can surmise he would have even started here. And if Zach Lee had worked out, we likely don't get Mettenberger. I think that's a push at best because Mettenberger was extremely productive for us. Jennings was highy rated out of high school, so was JarrettLee, so was Jefferson, so was Harris, so were most of the QBs we have signed. This not a matter of bad luck. This is a matter of Les not knowing how to play or develop QBs.

I'd say Harris was having a good year before he got injured and considering his depth was Jennings (no disrespect to Jennings because he really did try his best).

Plus Rettig transferred out with Harris coming in.

You only See Lee-Jefferson and Jennings. There's a lot more to the puzzle.

You basically just said "Oh he mishandled the situation if you get over Ryan, Zach Lee and Gunner Kiel"

Two of Three of those would have started for more than two years at least.

Don't bother with facts. Facts are ignored by the Miles haters. Nothing will satisfy them until Coach Miles leaves. Until then, he is to blame for every penalty, every player leaving, every player that doesn't live up to the hype they had in HS.(all of them would have been 4 year all american at any other school according to the negaturds) any play that goes for less than 30 yards and any loss LSU has.

I really don't tend to get emotionally invested in the ignorance on this message board but considering these are conversations I have in person I just have to spread some knowledge any chance I get (even if it should be commonly known by this point to anyone that follows this program)

Just like when people talk about our "One WR routes" and an article came out saying we were in 11 personnel for 46% of all snaps. People have an agenda to miserable with Les Miles and thus themselves on this board.

to be fair, the combined effort in 2011 wasnt bad at all. Yes it was bad against bama, but they made plenty of good qbs look bad, just like LSU does at times.

2009 was promising from a young JJ. The hope was ok just dont turn the ball over and develop this kid. Well he never panned out.

Mett came on the end of 2012. That was just a bad luck year. Best player kicked off, numerous injuries through out the season. At one point LSU had 21 scholarship players miss play time that season. That's a huge hit and was still close to winning the west.

Last two seasons have sucked. That's on the coaches for not bridging the gap after Mett. Mett was the fix for the Zach Lee thing. None of those other qbs panned out. Garrett, Rivers, Randall. Still cant believe you couldnt get more from Rettig than what we saw in 2014 from the qbs.

Just hope that Harris improves. If he puts in the work and the coaches keep stressing the pass game, I dont see a reason why he cant.

People get frustrated, read something on here and run with it. It is hard to discuss things at times when people are just completely making false statements about what happened in games.
