Bonus Structure for Football Coaches

Is it true the coaches get a bonus for becoming bowl eligible? If so, that is the dumbest thing in the world. If the coach doesn't get bowl eligible, then they should pay money back to the school.
Also, if true, then we would have (almost) fired a coach for lack of performance while at the same time giving him/them a performance bonus.

If you think 6 wins is the standard for a Performance Bonus, you are crazy. With 4 crappy teams each year on the schedule.
You are saying that winning 2 games in the SEC is enough for a Performance Bonus.
