He did not allow Kentucky to get any momentum they could carry over to today’s game. It was a bigger job than the 14-0 score would indicate.

Kudos to him.

They barreled him up a couple times, but it was right at us . The key to his performance was that he filled up the zone with a big lead, and that’s what you need

Money will carry everyone’s purse and then go save the shutout. Seems like a solid dude…as all of them seem to be. What a team.

I thought he might have been done for earlier in the season, but Coach Wes got Blake's head on straight and he's been looking pretty sharp.

When he's throwing strikes, keeping the ball down, and the other side only sees him once, he looks to be as reliable as anyone else at that end of the bench for an inning or two of hard work.

He’s going to find some barrels every once in a while just because of how his fastball is. When he’s keeping his fastball down and on with his curveball, he can be really effective going through the lineup once.

"Barreled up"? CJJ has often said that when they have a big lead all that they want is for the pitcher to throw strikes, make them put the ball in play. No nibbling at corners, mixing pitches, just throw strikes. When hitters see that, they know they can just swing away. What I liked was when he made the last out himself instead of tossing the ball to Tre. He then put the ball in his back pocket. Obviously something he wanted to remember.

know what else was important? Ignoring all of the numbnuts on message boards that cried their little snowflake tears about moving the game time, even though it accomplished EXACTLY what they hoped for! The game decided how long pitchers could go, now the weather! Sad thing is there will be no lessons learned by this!

So if LSU started at 2:00, could they not have finished the game before 7:45 PM when the first actual inclement weather arrived?

It’s hilarious people think that the game being moved 7 hours after the scheduled start somehow changed the outcome.

Could care less if they barrel anyone up by 14. He did exactly what they expected him to do. The fact that we didn’t have to run another arm out to get 4 outs is huge for the staff. Proud of money, I was worried for him earlier in the year.

Good thread by the OP that is an excellent point. They could've easily got a couple HRs, 4-5 runs in the last couple innings to carry a little momentum into tomorrow, but Money shut them down. Kudos to him.
