Did he find it this year at LSU? Do we have the over all speed he is wanting ?.... You can find the size of players listed but not their speed. do we have anyone that stands out for their great speed?

What players always talk about when describing the difference between college and the pros is the speed at which the game is played. I think so many SEC players make the jump so quickly in the NFL because the SEC also covets speed.

Absolutely he did.

You have to do a little digging and even then, you may not for all positions. There are specific drills that indicate speed that is helpful for a position. Skill positions should allow you to find their 40 times and even some track data for some of them. Even then, certain drills may be more indicative of position speed requirements than straight line speed. But straight line speed usually goes hand in hand with any other speed related drills for DBs, RBs and WRs, probably even linebackers, barring some injury or physical defect that limits cutting or side to side abilities.

All that being just my understanding, I am wrong way more often than I care to admit

It's a total disappointment. Cancel the season, refund all tickets, tear down the stadium and build a safe space for people like you to shed their tears without feeling judged by everyone else.

There was a thread not too long ago about who is the fastest on the team & there are probably 4 or 5 names that can run 4.3/4.4. That's not the speed BK is talking about though.

He had fast guys at ND. Will Fuller, Chase Claypool, etc. The speed that sets LSU/the SEC apart are the multiple DL/LB on the field that can run a 4.6 or better. It's all over the field on offense/defense, not just 1 or 2 guys.

No. We time all our players with a Sun Dial.

ND with a black coach and more $ is killing in recruiting. Hope Ohio State blows them out by 35 + to open the season.

And it's clear by looking at their #1 ranked recruiting class. They are making it rain.

You can’t coach speed. Trindon Holliday made a living in the NFL because if his works class speed.

Already happening at ND. Spending TAMU money on recruits. Meanwhile, LSU still hasn't backed BK like he wants. Quite the turn of events. Looks like he bolted a little too fast.

That's what I always thought. Any school, anywhere can find a few players with speed. The result will be obvious in several plays here and there.
The speed difference really impacts the game when the whole team is faster. It doesn't have to be every player running a 4.3 40. I don't believe it is even speed that is the factor, it's quickness, explosiveness.
A whole team being just a step and a half quicker really shows.
