But the most glaring to me was choosing not to go for two. He had a chance to drop his purple and gold nuts on the table and he flinched.

Going for 2/Kicking the XP is about as 50/50 as you get there and not the reason why we lost.

If he misses it he’s burned at the stake. Eyesight is 20/20. Most coaches kick the extra point there unless they feel like they’re severely undermanned ala Boise ST in the Fiesta Bowl.

The uneducated football posters, such as yourself, are really getting tiresome and boring.

And if he did and failed someone else would be posting…”what an idiot!” Lose either way. Went safe because we were finally outplaying FSU and had confidence in his kids

If he had gone for two right there when all we needed was an extra point for overtime and lost the game because of it, all the tards on this board would be melting harder.

Come on, man. Think! Trying for the extra point there was the right decision.

Nobody is going for 2 when they are the better team. Hindsight is 20/20 but he made the right choice to kick the extra point. It’s the easiest way in football to score.

disagree. unless he had zero faith in a worn out D or terrible O, turnover prone O or some other matchup issue you kick the XP there ESPECIALLY after a miracle NFL like drive for 99 yards with 1:08 on the clock. i mean NFL teams fail at driving 70 or 80 yards with 2 minutes to go all the time. you do not pizz away that whole drive with a win or lose play. we coulda won in OT and game would not have been decided on a play that coulda blown our late miracle drive.

we coulda won in OT. we had momentum. why risk all on 1 play?

Wasting close to 30 seconds to call a TO blew my mind.

I have more football knowledge in my left purple and gold nut than you have in your entire body. You already had one blocked, you have a freshman kicker, and you just manhandled FSU for 99 yards on your way to a TD in the final minutes of the game.

Going for 2 is absolutely the right call given all that had transpired.

If you don’t like my thread, then GTFO. No on gives a shite whether or not you are tired. Go cry like a bitch somewhere else.

yup. had he went for 2 and not converted he woulda been raked over the coals. and rightfully so. this was not a worn out LSU team in 99 at UGA who with many injuries had a shot at beating UGA at the end after a miraculous TD catch from booty to jerel myers with no time left. so we went for two yet failed. or that boise team that beat OU years back. they knew they would not last much longer in OT so they pulled the statue of liberty play for two and won.

Kelly going for 2 points IMHO was the only choice! 1st off you had no business being "in the game" at this point. Just geaux for two and be done w it. Let the football Gods decide your fate. Tigers played their hearts out for 60+ minutes. Even if you lose it's still a hell of an opener!

Throw in the fact(s) that you've had kicking game issues earlier in the game and our 2 pre-season All-Americans on defensive line were out for rest of game.

Kelly may be the $100MM Man but he is human and that means imperfect. Pretty sure he's thinking the same thing about going for 2 points. Maybe next time he'll re-consider......

This is the Tiger Rant. There is no greater collection of mouth breathing retards and whiny pussies anywhere else on the internet.

They’d be bitching if we won.
