Bizarre Game Play from Arkansas and Virginia

In just the last inning, we have seen a batter for Virginia strikout while trying to switch hit for the first time, and seen Arkansas try to bunt on the leadoff batter.
Are they really trying not to have to play the tigers?

This inning, players appear to "lose the ball in the lights" in the infield, and the other pitcher throws the easy out in the dirt from 30 feet away...after the bunter sends a horrible bunt straight at the pitcher.

I think they'll steal home here. What else can they do to try to lose it?
BTW, if Arky tries to walk in the winning run, can UVA do anything to try to stop it?

Umpires are always a little more generous on 3-0 counts, but that was absurd.
