Bigger Improvement, LSU's Offense or A&M's Defense?

Texas A&M fans insist Chavis is the answer to their defensive deficiencies. They have all the necessary talent, but it was held back by coaching. I don't buy it. I saw too many occasions where A&M's defense was in perfect position to make plays, and their players simply got run over by more physical players on the opposing teams.
I think it will be more difficult for A&M to get better performance from all 11 players on defense than it will be for LSU to get improved play from 1 position on offense. LSU does not need to replace rushing yards on offense with passing yards to improve. All it needs is to complete a higher percentage of its passes, especially third down conversions, with the same type of rushing success as last year and LSU's offense will be fine.

LSU's 3rd-down offense vs. Chavis's 3rd-down defense. An unstoppable force vs. an immovable object.

I don't think you worded that one quite right.

Lsu's offense. We were so young/inexperienced last year. I'm over Chavis, he does the same old dumb things, none of which involve a sack of any kind.
