Bianco's time has come and passed IMHO. When we fired Smoke, he was the one that I wanted. That's been 15 years. His kids are all in college. I think LSU needs someone a little younger to revitalize the program to a standard. Bianco is a good coach, but he has never gotten over the hump. While I do believe he has less opportunities than he would have at LSU, it's still a risk, but then so is anybody. All that said, Ole Miss has never finished a season in the top five in his 20+ years.

So even in retirement Paul is still making former player hires. Good old boys club. They did say he was going to have input on the next hire.

If LSU can hire Farmer Fran as HC for their Football Program and he was terrible at Ole Miss, at least Bianco has won there.
He is also a Skip Disciple and hopefully he won't suck the blood out like Mainieri has done.

Bianco would be a colossal letdown of a hire. This program needs some energy and life. Bianco would not provide that.

Bianco had folks reach out behind the scenes to let Woodward know he wanted the job. That’s where that smoke is coming from.
