His vision is improving every game. He has learned how to run towards open field and he is hard to bring down once he picks up a head of steam
I want to ask something, are the other running backs just not capable (athletic wise) to hit the cut backs and find open space, or do they just have zero vision?
I've watch all of them closely every game and Fournette is literally the only one who has any moves besides , lower head and run straight ahead. I mean sure they are powerful, but my God, they are extremely limited runners.

It's not much difference. LF will get one more game but will play against better competition than HW. Georgia had a cup cake schedule and only one team they played ended up ranked at the end of the year.
The sec didn't get the respect it deserved back then. The sec is a tad overrated these days. Also LF won't come close to those rushing stats.

thought I remembered Magee having 100 yard rushing games last year...I must have been mistaken, my apologies.
Yes, as the change of pace backup. In the first game, Blue kept pounding the rock, then Magee would slip through a hole on a stretch play, and be gone. They pretty much used use him like that last year. It's why he should be the back up. The first guy does the dirty work, and he rips off a long one to catch them off guard.

One of his best efforts was when Hill was not on the trip.
He was used the same exact way against TCU, stop being so stubborn.

but the rant in general seems to make reasonable predictions in preseason, and then they get mad when it happens. Most people said he would be the starter by Kentucky, and most seemed OK with it. Now that it has happened, some people are complaining.
I said by Auburn. I thought they would really only run 3 RBs most of the games to give them rhythm so he would command only 10-12 carries. I thought that by Auburn, he would finally take over. Hell, if the OL wasn't so terrible the first half of the season, he probably would have.

Because physics says LF wins that battle every time. 225 lbs moving object will always move a stationary 190 lbs object.
Pretty sure all of his moves agree with the laws of physics

But trucking the defender was awesome and I was pretty impressed with the height he got on the leap.

I was in the end zone and on the hash he was running towards on that spin move. I saw nothing but a TD after that move. Pretty shocked how quickly that got shut down.

Time to salvage this thread with GIFs...
Touchdown 1 "The Truck"
Touchdown 2 "The Leap" (Pocic destroys his guy)
Dat Spin Move Doe
The Cutback
Another nice gainer, great job by the OL on this. Thought he was gonna break this for a second.

so in the next 7 games he needs 1100 yards and 9 TDS.

Look at what Collins does to #90 on this play.

He is an amazing talent and will be right up there with Herschel and Bo before he leaves LSU.
I do not know if he will attain those heights, but that is not required for him to be one of the best ever at LSU.
He has improved greatly already, soon he will keep his balance and shoot to the hole instead of trucking people and we will see him break more and more long runs.

Sounds simple, but to me LF7 best move was just hitting the hole consistently. I feel like before this game the blocking on a lot of his runs against tougher opponents was lacking, causing him to not really get into any kind of rhythm.
Became clear LF gained a lot more confidence bust out some of these moves when it became clear La'el Collins was blowing people 5 yard off the LOS at times
