That game was hot and nasty, almost as bad as last years Spring Game except there was so much humidity in the air. I remember trolling Michigan fans afterwards!!!!

Clayton vs Auburb in 2001
Herb Tyler got crushed against UF in 97. It was after he threw a pass a gator player came in extremely late and hit a defenseless unaware Tyler. It was Jonny Rutledge I believe.

On a kick or punt return against Ole Miss I think in TS, Nicky Savoie nearly killed some poor bastard. The whole stadium was "ooooooo-ing" during the duration of the play, which I think went for a TD.

It was on a screen pass to David Lafleur and it was in Oxford. I was there. That hit rattled the fillings in MY teeth. Nicky was a beast.

No I seem to remember it being in Tiger Stadium. Regardless, Nicky had some good ones in his time here.

Cant remember the team we were playing but Steve "The Headhunter" Rehage had a hit on a kickoff which would rank with the best of them.

Glad someone mentioned Rehage.

My submission: Jon Street vs Leon Perry (RB for OM) in '76.

Perry went on to have a good NFL career with the Giants and was lauded by Matt Millen as being one of the hardest hitting RBs in the NFL. But on that night in TS Perry was (in the words of my HS coach) "christened."

gotta be Chad Jones vs Arky! Was at the game & could hear the impact in the upper deck! Dudes mouthpiece, ear pad, chin strap & helmet all went flying in different directions!! If I remember correctly didn't chad blow up the same reciever earlier in the game? I thought there was another BIG hit in that game but it got overshadowed by the end zone hit.

I've been a season ticket holder for 27 years. The best hit I've ever seen was Odell Beckham Sr. knocked a Texas A&M player off his feet. I thought he killed the Aggie.

Thanks for the correction. That's the one I remember, but I had thought it was a punt return. It was Lafleur. Nicky had so many good ones that it's hard to remember them all.

Todd Kinchen on a kickoff / punt return v A&M if I remember correctly... Excellent block to free a nice return.... Kinchen ran side to side and the player was completely decleated.... I need to do more research to verify year game and opponent though....
