Got tickets from my boss, best place for me and my husband, with two kids (7 an 10), to park?

My husband says the Chimes, but he hasn't been to a game in 15 years when he was a student.

If you get there really early the Kirby Smith lot is a good place. I'm not sure how fast it's going to fill up, though.

there are places all over.

i used to just park at walkons then tailgate, watch the game and then back to walkons to let the traffic die down.

not sure that that would be such a good idea with kids though.

Thee is planty of parking next to the old livestock stables by the AG center.
There is a grass lot next to the old barn that never fills up.

I have always been able to park in Kirby Smith, I always get there between 4-5 hours before kick off.

Where are you heading after the game? If back to ellic or North to anywhere, find out where you need to be to NOT be channeled South. The last time I was given a parking pass, I ended up regretting using it. It took over 2 hours just to get headed in the right direction. That was after waiting a long time visiting with people after the game.

Oh, I thought it filled up faster than that. That's always an option then.

The Kirby Smith lot fills up, but I've parked in the grass lots across from Kirby Smith (I think the band practices there?) within a couple hours of kickoff.

Take the Nicholson exit rite off the Bridge, left on Nicholson rite down to the stadium. If you get there early enuff, you can park on either side of the street, but preferably, to get out easier, U turn & park facing back towards the bridge. Or take any left as you approach the gates & you can park in the neighborhoods safely enuff.

The Ag center is a pretty good spot but I would recommend getting there a little earlier then 10am if you can. I have a feeling that at 10 most everywhere is going to be full and it may result in a very long walk for you.

This is not only the BAMA game, it's also a 2:30 game, and you will have Gameday there too.
If you leave at 10 or so, you won't get any place close! You will have to walk, unless you have a parking pass.
Some people are already parked for the game or will do so tonight and tomorrow night!

Good luck!

this is IMPORTANT if you are not going to be staying in Baton Rouge Sat. night...

you can go to lsusports.net and get a map that shows the post-game traffic flow patterns. You do not want to sit through the southbound traffic if you are not going to be staying out that way.......
