Bert Jones was a stud. Too bad the Colts didn't have enough around him.

I don't count any QB before 1970 because of the athletes that played and the ones that didn't more importantly. JR is the best we have ever had though. End of story.

Never saw Y A Title but sure he was good too. Jamarcus had the best arm but that doesn't make him the best qb:

Jamie Howard-- only man to throw 4 TD passes and 6 interceptions in one game against Auburn.

Yep I threw a few things

A good player for his time but it's a different game now. Rules are different, the players are much better, etc. etc. He'd be slaughtered.

Bert Jones. I saw him play at LSU and with the Colts. Absolutely amazing passer.

Although I really like Bert Jones and could easily vote for him, I would have to go with Y.A. Tittle on this one.

If you take NFL success into account, then yes, those are the only two in the running. Based solely on performance while at LSU, though, you could throw David Woodley, Tom Hodson and Jamarcus Russell in there with them. In fact, it would be pretty hard to argue with Mauck or Flynn, too.
