LINK

The '09 tigers are on the list.
I know the best baseball teams don't always win it all, but this guys list features more losers than winners.

'00 Tigers vs '00 Stanford -he's got Stanford ahead of us.

I'd like to hear some other opinions.

Is it not well known that the best team didn't/doesn't always win the CWS?

Maybe in a series they beat us. We had one really, good pitcher but the rest of the staff we mediocre (although Hodges had a great CWS). Stanford had pitching for days.

I already stated in the OP that I know the best teams don't always win in baseball. But if you open the link and look at all the teams that are ranked as the top teams of the 2000's, only 3 teams won the natty.

One team didn't even make it to a super

I still think of the '97 Freak Show as the best LSU Baseball team ever; but consider the '09 team

Mitchell 1st round
Ranaudo 1st round
Mahtook 1st round
LeMahieu 2nd round
Landry 3rd round
Coleman 5th round
Schimpf 5th round
Dean 8th round

They also accomplished something the '97 team didn't in that they pulled-off the triple crown, winning the reg season, the tournament and the natty.

Considering the time and competition level I would say 2009 is the best lsu team I have seen.

Imagine those hitters on steroids and with the '97 bats.

The good ole days, 2009 was the last real college baseball season, changing the bats damn near killed the game

The '98 team was just as good if not better than '97

2013 team was very good too just wasn't a good fit for the ballpark in Omaha. UCLA won it because their 85 mph pitchers were leaving balls up in the zone inviting fly balls with no danger of them going out. I don't want college baseball to go back to the 90's but I believe if a pitcher makes a mistake and the hitter connects on it the pitcher should have to pay for it. It is better now with the new balls but still not where it should be.
