The last two Tigers to finish a game with exactly 43 points were Shaq and Pete Maravich.

Ben Simmons just now after 43 points, 14 rebounds, 7 assists: "I'm tired of losing." #LSU

Just said on TV he didn't hit a 3 ball either.

They also said his team needs to step.up if they want to.be relevant as a team.

Glad to see Ben decide to take over. Hopefully this is a "turn the corner" kinda game for him.

Can't believe no one has bumped the thread saying Simmons will stay because he would get destroyed in the NBA and his stock was completely tanking. That was a gem.

It's been fun watching this kid. So polished for such a young player.

The sentiment was quite different about 1/3 of the way through this game.

Technically, Simmons and Shaq are the last two Tigers to score 43 points. But prior to tonight, Shaq and Pistol were the last to score 43. That's some good company though

Hopefully after this game, Ben decides to be more aggressive and be a scorer first instead of a passer first.

actually 44.3 per game , all someone has to do to break his record is hit 15 3 pointers per game for three years , and he did it with no 3 point line , amazing .....

Now everyone sees what Benny can do if the handcuffs are taken off. Coach JJ better learn that this team lives or dies with the ball in #25's hands.

No way on earth that happens. He's gone after this season.

I think Ben has imposed that on himself, hoping to get the others involved.

It all comes down to where he was getting the ball. He was getting post position and we were giving him the ball there. He got the ball in the post more last night than the rest of the games combined. You have to continue to put him in the post and allow him to get to a spot where he can take advantage of his skill around the rim.
