Beckwith needs to stay!

I think we can all agree that Beckwith did not have the outstanding year we were expecting. Next year, he will have a chance to be the best linebacker in the SEC and a potential first round draft pick. He really should stay for himself and for LSU.

I really think staying is the best decision for him. His family doesn't seem like they are in dire need for financial help. It would be a lot like when kelvin sheppard stayed and was a great senior leader for us in 2010. If we could continue to get a few juniors back each year, especially at positions of need like LB, we'll be able to compete consistently.

He would be great to have from an. LSU standpoint but for him, he can leave now and be drafted in a decent spot.

He had a great start to the season, but he was invisible for the most part down the stretch.
Another guy who need to take this advise is Tre White. He isn't the next great DBU corner like some think. At least not yet. He was better last night, but Bama and Ole Miss wore him out. Wilson at State gave him hell too. He may go, but he isn't going to be the high draft pick that our past guys were.

Both are gone. Both are 2-3 round picks even though we want them to stay to help the defense.

Becky needs to look at some of the other guys that left early in the past few years and see how that worked out for them. Our defense did him no favors this year. Should come back so he can actually get drafted for the NFL rather than float around the CFL or arena for the next decade.

I'm telling you guys. White's hype is tied into the whole DBU thing, which has been exposed this year. He is not on the level of our past CBs. He just isn't on that level. When he gets to the combines, his stock is going to drop.
I would love to be wrong, because he seems like a good leader and young man. I hope I am. I'm just not sold on him as a big time NFL talent.

He'd be a fool to stay. MLB is a position with longevity in the league. The faster he gets done with that rookie contract the faster he'd get to those big ones. The boy can ball he needs to learn under real coaches.
However I want him to stay for selfish reasons so that he could lead the tigers on D next year.

The guys that left early last year did pretty well, actually. Beckwith may get drafted in a good spot, but he isn't ready to man MLB for an NFL team yet. He's going to need a year or two.
