I didn't suspect he would but it's always nice to put rumors down before they get out of hand.

I wasn't expecting him to leave.

But this brings up another question: Why can't Mullen retain D-coordinators? 3 in 3 years? And I recall them have some good defenses over that span.

1. His program is like 5th best in the west.

2. He has to play Bama, LSU, and Ole Miss every year.

3. Mississippi State University is located in Starkville, Mississippi.

Well he lost Diaz to Texas (ENORMOUS promotion) and later on to Miami (his home town where his dad was once Mayor).

So those are kind of understandable. Not sure on the others.

State is a stepping stone for everyone except Mullen, apparently. He's the only one who's passed on other opportunities to stay there.

He chose, poorly.

Moscona sure was playing it up yesterday evening like it was a possibility.

Funny how the two states that fricked him the most wanted him back, right?

I know he interviewed at other schools, but did any of them actually offer? Seems as if though he's trying to get out and no one wants him.

MSU is a stepping stone kind of job. Even Mullen will leave once he gets a better opportunity.

Could very well be the case. I just wanted to use the Indiana Jones reference.

I didn't get why he was doing that. When he had Detillier on he said he hadn't heard anything about O and State so that means Moscona was just using the Footballscoop site as his source.
