I think if you get there by 6:15 you're good.

Gates don't open until 2 hours before game.
Usually when they open, LSU is finishing up their bp and then the visiting team takes bp.

Last time I tried to watch BP the gates opened too late to see our starters. Got in just in time to see our backups hit. That was the Friday Vandy game.

I agree with this.

If you go for when the gates open at 5 pm, you should be able to get in, in time to see the end of LSU BP, State BP and both teams take infield.

Typical schedule for a 7:00pm game:

4:45-5:30 LSU BP
5:30-6:05 Visitor BP
6:05-6:15 Field is cleared
6:15-6:25 LSU Fielding
6:25-6:35 Visitor Fielding
6:35-6:50 Field Prepped
6:50-7:00 First Pitch, Anthem, Intro Video, etc.

HOWEVAH..

Everything's gonna be bumped up tonight because of the Furniss ceremony, so you may not get to see LSU's BP at all.
