Sure it is still very tight. Are hotels canceling reservations due to the flood and relieve effort?

I meant for Bama game I got a call to confirm my reservation. It made me nervous they may need to cancel. Which given the situation I understand.

Is there any precedent on a game being moved to a neutral site 4 days before kick off?

What hotel chain did you book with? I have had hotels for all home gams thus far (IHG brands) and haven't had any issue.

Homewood Suites Hilton

I don't have status anymore - did back in the day.

lol I could make a 10 hour drive to new orleans (5 if I leave at halftime)

It isn't a big deal was just curious.

Since Homewood Suites is an extended stay hotel, you may have issues since those cater better to displaced flood victims. Last I checked there were some hotels around Siegen or even Gonzales still available for Bama weekend. I'd book a different room (refundable) now if I were you as a fall-back.

For the Mizzou game I had a room at Quality Inn & Suites in Denham canceled. About a week heads up a day or two after the FEMA money was officially extended.

Tried to book for an event in Baton Rouge (Nov 3 - 6) and ALL marriott properties were booked (no vacancies) only available property was in Hammond. Same for Sheraton. Hilton also had nothing available.
