They don't do them any more. An LSU SID told me that....nobody knows why, though.

They must not do them anymore because they're always announced within minutes after the last game.

I'd have to look at his numbers vs. the 3B from Rice. Dude hit a HR and got the save in one of their games that I saw.

Smith was good, and deserving. However, there was some good play by other 3B in this tournament (I just dont know their names).

I just put Deichman...well because he's Deichman.

The right fielder for Southeastern hit two bombs. Not sure if he did anything else.

Catcher - Dominic DiCaprio, Rice

ETA: He went 7 for 19 for a .368 average during the regional. And he had a cannon for an arm.

Comancho for Texas Southern played well. Played 3rd so not sure he beats out smith or the rice guy

So, all 4 teams have a third baseman worthy of making the all tournament team.

Really enjoyed watching him play. Anyone know the story of what happened with him and LSU. Just heard them mention a few times that he was committed here and Mainieri helped him get on with Rice. Don't remember him being committed.

He also played quite a bit at first base during the regional. He played 3B against us Friday night.
