I used to live with a player on the team and he told me the walk-ons plus Bridgewater and Hayward beat the starters every day in practice. So there's that

Your headline is misleading we don't have a "Basketball Team" we have "Basketball Players" who are play the same uniform on. These kids have quit and the only ones really who are part of the team are the walk-ons because they actually want to be part of a team.

Not surprising at all

I'm sure the champions of LSU's Rec league tournament could beat them a few times out of 10.

I've seen bits and pieces of LSU's practices. Much of it (not all) is basically like a YMCA game. All teams scrimmage and go live, but there is also a ton of teaching during those scrimmages. There isn't a whole helluva lot for LSU and the coaches allow the players to be relatively lazy in the drills they do.

Let's put it this way, there isn't a ton of focus on the details/little things that make good teams great. It shows on the court

Sounds like the LSU team does not have competitive spirit.
but "every day" sounds like a stretch.

I led a team of gym rats vs the college team for one game before the season started.
we won easily because we knew each other (and we were really good).
I doubt we would have stood up more than a couple of games before their superior athleticism combined with team play to squash us like bugs.

We all have our days. I played vs future pros. Sometimes I would be unstoppable.
Because sometimes I was unstoppable, I scorn people who post outrage when LSU loses to some team like Nichols or NW State. They can all play.

I kind of want to see just how bad UK beats us, but then, yeah, we can just pack it in.

i'm hoping they won't "get up" for the game, and they only win by like 20. if they didn't call off the dogs, it could easily be 50.

thats telling and pathetic.

I have seen championship coaches (won national championship) practices.
they are serious, focused and precise.

Seriously I want them to lose out and start from scratch. Last two years I watched almost every game. When they won it was pure talent I definitely saw this season coming. Although I said 0 SEC wins so I guess they proved me wrong.

This is the gospel truth. I've wondered what Johnny's practices must be like and I swear this would be a perfect description of what I envisioned.
