Hopefully Dawson is really good on defense at SS because I don't remember seeing a hit from him on offense this spring

That's the plan. I've heard Dawson compared to Austin Nola, he'll be in the lineup more for his glove than his bat at this point.

From what I heard, Dawson is mainly on the field for his glove for the moment, but he still has plenty of time to develop his offensive game. There is also the issue that throughout high school, he split time between baseball and basketball, and now that he is just focusing on baseball he can become much more well rounded.
