This team going to be sick! One of the best of all time! Pitching staff is going to be nasty!

Comes as advertised.

Scuba, what did you think about the gold's lineup? Seems like lots of players unnecessarily out of position. Or is PM purposefully trying these guys out at different places on day 1? Examples: Bryce Jordan at SS. Reid at 1B. Adams in LF. Templet at 2B. Not that these players can't handle these positions, but are they really backups there?

I think coach put the numbers in a cap and picked the line-up out. Some players were in positions they haven't played since coming to LSU. The White team seemed like what we could see on opening night in a few weeks with an exception or two.

I'm not being critical. I'm asking Scuba's opinion on the changes because things were much different in the fall. Reid did play a little at 1B last year. But Templet and Adams were at 1B. The oddest one is Bryce at SS... he was a 1B/catcher last year. Sometimes guys move around out of necessity in these scrimmages, obviously.

Agreed. That was obviously the "A" team.

The White lineup looks like what CPM plans to go with on Opening Day. A lot of the Gold positions will probably never happen except in a blowout/emergency, like Adams in LF. Some of it may have been CPM trying guys out at unfamiliar positions, just to see how they'd handle it.

Saw that too. Credit to the pitchers I guess.

Pitchers did well except for Kiel, who had control issues. Defense was errorless, as well. There were several hard hit balls but, they were of the "at-em" variety.

Kiel may throw hard but 3 walked batters in 1 inning isn't very good. Still very early but seems his speed may cause a lack of control.

Scuba, is that Kiel walking 3 in 1/3 of an inning or 1 full?
