I heard Bryan Lazare (TigerRag) on the radio the other day and he mentioned 2 main things about LSU's struggle so far in the SEC (3-9):

Out of the 12 starts, we have had:
4 good starts for McCune
3 good starts for Alsup
2 good starts for Gausman
With 9 good starts, you should win more than 3 games

5 of the 9 batters with the most SEC at bats are hitting .205 or less

We have got to improve in pitching (after the starters) and we have got to start hitting the ball or we will not even make the SEC Tournament moreless a Regional.

We need a talent infusion in the lineup like the pitching staff had this year.

Gausman has been hot garbage lately. I really though he was going to be our stud. If he can find it, our 1-2 punch can be real good soon

Guess you didn't watch the Saturday Arkansas game where Gausman pitched 8 scoreless innings. You're right, total "hot garbage."

In addition to a bad batting slump, we're making too many mental baserunning errors, and too many defensive misjudgements in throwing and covering the bases.
But the LSU Tigers are like a mighty .400 hitter who is going through a mid-season slump. We'll sweep Auburn this weekend, and then it'll be off to the races for the rest of the season.

Gausman's last game. Ask Arkansas if they think he is garbage.

That game was clearly pissed away.

Yeah, I only look at the overall season stats too when trying to make a point...wow!

Gausman had 2 bad outings this season which is amazing since he is a true freshman playing in the SEC.

KG is not hot garbage brah! He is a clean tablecloth!

A sweep would be a big step in the right direction...gotta get the bats going though for that to happen...couldn't have had better starting pitching this past weekend and got swept
