LSU has chosen to print $5.53 on the season tickets this year instead of the $10.00 face value! $5.53 is the acquisition cost of a single season ticket not including the MANDATORY tradition fund. It seems to me that LSU is trying to make it more difficult to sell a season ticket at the $10.00 face value by printing $5.53 on it therefore forcing more people to sell extra tickets on their marketplace site where they can take a cut and not give the seller the cash but rather credit toward next season's tickets!

I had to read this twice to comprehend...run-on sentences get you "tl,dr" responses.
But that does suck. Just sell them for $10. People will still by them

Why should a non season ticket holder pay your tradition fund for your right to buy season tickets?

I think they should. If someone has to pay $10 a ticket i see no problem with them selling it for $10.

$5.53 is an odd price to put at FV of a ticket... People will buy them for $10 though easily.

This doesn't apply to me so I laugh at the people it does.

They shouldn't. They should stay home without a ticket like the others who don't have season tickets and don't think they should pay season ticket holders their cost for the tickets they don't use. That way, the seat stays empty, the season ticket holder is out his $10, and the guy who wants a ticket to one game doesn't get one. See? Everybody's happy.

Im not saying i wont pay 10 bucks a ticket, i already am actually. But if the price a season ticket holder pays per ticket is 5.53, why should they be able to sell for more?

I just don't want someone trying to haggle me down from $10 when I know that is what it would cost them at the ticket office for a single game ticket! Just think they should print the TRUE face value of a single game ticket on each ticket!

because as a season ticket holder you pay mandatory fees to obtain the tickets and you also put up a large sum up front that a single game purchaser doesn't. I attend all of the games so it truly is a non issue for me personally, I just think it's a dick move by LSU to try to force people to use their marketplace!

I paid $210 each for my season tix (38 games) which works out to $5.53 per. I don't have a problem with this.

Not everybody does. I don't.

But those that do pay the $5.53 per ticket for the 38 games and DO pay the TAF fee only pay $50 more. Are you really that upset over losing a buck and change per game on that?

I could be wrong, but I am pretty sure you can sell it for whatever your per ticket cost it. I believe that was put into a state law. It is legal to sell a football ticket that includes Tradition Fund fees, so the same would apply to baseball.

I doubt youll see many people carrying around 53 cents. Its not that big of a deal. Just ask for $10 or $20 or whatever the going price is for each game. Some games midweek in Feb you cant get anything at all if the weather sucks.

You must be down either the right field line or left field line. I paid 260 which is not $5.53 per ticket.

Yeah, I sit in RF.

Do your tix say $6.84 per? Because that's what $260 for 38 games is. Unless you're counting the $50 TAF fee in your $260.

No they say $5.53. That's what this whole thread is about.

Yes $50 of the cost is my taf fee.

So you pay $210 for your ticket, plus the $50 TAF fee.

The $5.53 is reflective of the $210/38 games. That TAF fee is something separate. Sorry, that's just how LSU does it.

When figuring out how much you pay per ticket I see zero logic in separating the two fees out. Granted when I can't go I usually just give my tickets away but the point remains. That's like paying the bill for the whole group and when they go to repay you their portion them not wanting to include the tip in the overall cost.
