CPM has successfully made me abhor the word "matchup"

I'm just upset that no one commented on my Excremento St joke.

Kramer might be be the next casualty. I think we are better defensively with a lineup of Pap (C), Romero (1B), Diechmann (2B) than we are with a lineup of Romero (C), Diechmann (1B), Kramer (2B). Obviously the first lineup is also far superior offensively.

I'm thinking PM gives Kramer 2 more weekend series to show that he can be serviceable at the plate.

Sacramento State starts a lefty tomorrow. Romero will catch, Adams will DH and Bryce will play 1B, Paul Mainieri says. #LSU

Just saw this. Diechmann out of the lineup tonight?

I get it, but I don't. He's going to have to hit against LHPs sometime. Why put it into these players heads that they are not able to hit LHP. It doesn't make sense to me. Sure, if you're bringing a PH off the bench, play the matchup, or if you have a LH batter in the lineup that has struggled against LHP all night then pinch hit for him, but I hate how much PM plays match ups.

You guys read into every decision the man makes way too much. This team is young and has a lot of unknowns. The idea is to mix and match to eliminate as much of the unknown as possible and to find the best 9 guys to play once SEC play starts.

Because Tyler Moore can't hit lefties.

You're never going to move on from this are you. CPM plays the lefty/righty match up and tinkers with his lineup more than most coaches but he has done it since he got to LSU so I think it is time for you guys to just get used to it. He isn't changing and filling up the series preview complaining about it isn't going to help.

In 193 at bats last season in "A" ball he hit .181 so it appears he's not hitting righties either....

I'll get used to CPM playing match ups (even when it means benching the national player of the week) when people like you get used to me bringing it up. I'm not changing and you filling up threads complaining about me isn't going to help.

Do you actually get any joy in watching LSU baseball?

I know you do just goofing around. I really don't think someone would put as much effort into pointing everything LSU does wrong in baseball without getting enjoyment in what they do right.

What effort? Typing out responses here is no different than sending a text. I say what I think.

If anything, I've spent more time and effort on Positive posts. Two years in a row I would wake up early every day for 100 days updating a baseball countdown thread. In the last month, each day was dedicated to a specific player on the roster. New players got more attention and I would spend time looking for specific articles about his high school achievements or his decision to join LSU. I would go to scrimmages and give live updates and stats. I enjoy that stuff.

ell don't you know that if he can't do it in "A" ball it means he couldn't do it here. I mean everyone knows that college baseball is better than the minor leagues. That's why every player in college baseball just goes straight to Double A when they exhaust their eligibility.
