Baseball offseason- Trey Dawson transferring

Was the starting SS opening day last season but got lost in the shuffle. Transferring to Chipola College per Advocate.

Between Kramer, Cole and the curveball, it just wasn't meant to be.

Sucks he couldn't stick it out and earn the spot after KRob. Some guys who have never sat the bench a day in their life just can't do it

The kid was a really good fielder but just couldn't hit major college pitching. Hope he improves his hitting and lands at a good program, eventually.

Sad to see him go. He had a good summer in alaska. He's got talent, just didn't put it together quickly enough. Lots of talent coming in at every infield spot too.

Doesnt particularly surprise me. Dawson was a slick fielder who couldnt hit a baseball to save his life last season.
With no starting spot for him next year and nothing guaranteed in 2 seasons this might be the best move for him. We usually strike gold at the SS spot.

Starting him day one was such a bad decision. Probably contributed to his feeling entitled after getting benched for the rest of the year.
At least if he had never started he would have perceived himself as the up and comer.
