Bear with me on this as it is hard to explain. Heard this on the radio while I was in Alexandria yesterday.

All stats are regarding SECN+ games viewed on WatchESPN.

LSU baseball games had the top 5 spots for events of any sport and any gender. More people watched our games in each single event than any of event that happened this year on the SECN+ (excluding football)

Also, our lowest viewed game on SECN+ via WatchESPN was Grambling. This was viewed more than any other SEC Baseball game involving any team not named LSU. This means every single one of our baseball games had more viewers than any other SEC baseball game throughout the entire season.

Our avg viewership per game was around 19k. The avg viewership for the rest of the SEC was around 6k per game. We more than trippled the avg viewership.

LSU's overall attendance lead over Arkansas is about 148,000 which is more than the total attendance of 3 of the top ten teams and almost as much as Florida St's 158,000. Ridiculous. Is there anything resembling this type of attendance disparity anywhere else in any sport?

You'd think we could actually get a few games on TV... but noooooooooo.

They will leave it on the streaming platform because they know we will watch. So they get de facto viewers in the network plus LSU viewers. If they out LSU on the network, they would get no streaming numbers.

They were talking about this during the Super & I thought it was telling about how much the State of LA supports their baseball. I also thought it spoke volumes of how much the LSU faithful supports their tigers when we were #1 10.7k per game & ULL was *10th just under 4k.

*I prefer the standings before the conference tournaments & regionals. A lot of these teams get to artificially inflate their numbers when the bandwagoners jump on board for postseason play. I.e., TCU's #s jumped from 3,811 through 28 games on 5/18 to 4,092 through 36 games on 6/9.

As already posted in the SECR:

Here ya go....

ULL will be moving up that list...

...the Cajuns are expanding ML Tigue Field.

I mention this because I find it funny that the impetus for the next expansion of The Box will not come from within the SEC, but within Louisiana.

ok that renovation looks badass but pretty sure it won't be 13k... and besides at some point their fanbase will hit a ceiling due to Sun Belt opponents

what i liked seeing in that attendance report was 3 Big Ten teams in the 50... glad to see they finally joined college baseball this year. that's what the sport needs, even if it is an indicator of global warming

And the Cajuns will add 9 suites.

you're reading that wrong. that's square feet. 9 suites will be 2,500 square feet, not seat 2,500
