That's my guess. My way too early guess. I don't know squat about the incoming players.

I hope Chris Reid finds a way back in the lineup. He was so consistent last year. Who gives a shite if they're all singles. That's what Florida won on last night

I think the incoming catchers have a real shot to win the position.

I don't think Coomes will be a catcher next season. We have a few guys who will out perform him there. Also think you'll continue seeing Gilbert in the pen. He's a huge added bonus.

My way to early lineup, should be another solid ball club.

C-Hunter Feduccia or Nick Coomes
1B-Nick Coomes or Nick Storz or Rankin Woley
2B-Mason Templet
SS-Josh Smith
3B-Jake Slaughter
LF-Antonie Duplantis
CF-Zach Watson
RF-Daniel Cabrera
DH-Bryce Jordan

Hess, Walker, Gilbert, Storz, and Todd Peterson all will have excellent stuff.

Taylor Peterson was used as a closer in JUCO and hopefully will be able to transition into a similar role, if not maybe Gilbert becomes the back end stud.

Hoping Norman returns.

Bain, Beck, Reese, Veitmeier, Schroer all can be middle relievers.

If I had to make a bet you're thinking of Andrew Bechtold 3B

I thought I saw a story that mentioned Norman was about to sign with the Reds.

You don't think Peterson makes it as a starter Mainieri seemed to put a lot of effort into getting him innings.

I haven't seen that, but I haven't been looking for it either. Wouldn't shock me.

The deadline is next Friday (7/7), so we're going to know very soon.

Also, a pitcher that will probably factor in is new commit AJ Labas.

The scary thing is LSU's lineup in 2018 will be young but extremely experienced in post season play, you have to think besides Coomes every starter has a chance to come back for 2019. (I don't think Duplantis leaves after his junior season)

Isn't it nice that the deadline is so close? After last season felt let a few years passed before finding out if Poche was coming back.
