Honestly, I don't think Bama has peaked yet. They've had some great moments, but they still are making mistakes they shouldn't make and getting beaten at times as well. I expect Sat nite to be a really physical game. Should be exciting for the fans. Hope everyone walks away and is able to play the following week.

And LSU has barely put two quarters together so what's your point?

That sounds very bad. What do you mean? I take your response as support that LSU is worse.

McCarron won't go the whole season without throwing a pick. I think the law of averages finally catches up to him in TS. Our D shuts them down and we come up with just enough O to win.

Whoa, law of averages? Now everyone knows to bring more than just math to a sports argument, but I agree that he is overdue.
Your D shuts Alabama down? Overall your D is worse than last year and Alabama's O is better. Your D gave up 3 touchdowns to South Carolina and despite putting up 406 yards of offense only scored 23 points at home at night (7 on a big play). Let's be realistic. This will be the most balanced and greatest offense you've faced all year. This will be the greatest defense you've faced all year. Your offense will not be the reason you win. You think your coaches will have a new, difficult to defend, never before seen offense ready Saturday? Regardless of what you run, you'd still need your receivers to make key catches and Mettenberger to protect the ball. This game could go either way, but if Alabama shows up and plays their best while LSU cannot get good offensive production, then it'll be a long night for the Bayou Bengals.

I actually think the Bama blowout of MSU was a good think for LSU. Betcha Lord Saban knows it too and will have a task keeping his players down to earth this week.

This. We're playing a Bama team that now probably believes they are the best. The media will say it all week, the players will hear it from everyone except the Bama coaches. LSU definitely has the mental edge in this game. If we can back it up with some offense and enough pressure on the QB, we are in with a chance.

Bama has won by the following margins this season:

27
35
52
33
19
32
31
31

I think it's doubtful, beating Miss St by 31 is making the players over confident. One thing I've been encouraged by this year, is that they've come out hitting on all cylinders pretty early in all games this yr. Saban has them playing with some fire and there's leadership on this team, that was missing on the 2010 that tried to repeat. They haven't taken anything for granted yet and I don't think they will Sat. That's not to say they're unbeatable though. Lsu will be a tough game.

Bama is overconfident as always. The Tigers have been getting ready for two weeks and will come out swinging. This pretty much is the championship this year.

The point is when has LSU even put 2 good quarters together? Some games it's the first and 4th. Another game it will be 2nd and the fourth. If LSU puts it together they can be just as dangerous as Bama. Bama fans are too spoiled. No team is going to play a perfect game, so I chuckle when I hear their fans talk about how they can't play a complete game and they just get through romping a team 38-7.

It's just a lame phrase. "when we put it all together blah blah..." every team can say that

Peaked? They are on a plateau.

Like the optimism though

dude they are beating the shite out of everyone. Unless Sean Payton gets called up for this game, I don't see us doing much of anything against their defense. We cannot just win by dialing up run run pass.
