This is a common misconception, that Mathieu didn't do much in the two Bama games. Yes, he did. He changed Bama's game plan. Most of the other teams we played had coaches that were too stupid to game plan for TM7. Being the great coach he is, Saban ran his offense to limit TM7's ability to affect the game. In doing so, Bama probably had to give up a lot of their best stuff.

I just love how we lose 1 player and it is a defensive back and that changes what they think the line of a football game should be.

We didn't "just" lose anybody; we lost one of the top 10 players in the country and the best player on our team. It is an awesome loss. LSU can still be a great team, but don't fool yourself, we lost the most original player I've seen in my 45 years of watching football.

This is true, unfortunatly. I still think we have enought in the tank to take home a crystal ball. But that prediction is just as useful as any other a-hole's prediction in August.

Time will tell.

It's hilarious to think if we would have lost all those players as bama has done that would be nowhere close to favored over bama. the bama bias is sickening.

Buck Fama and the horse they rode in on. That is all. Tigers will be ready 11/3. Who's favored means zero.

Another example - how far Bama dropped in the polls after losing to LSU, vs how far Arkansas and Oregon fell after they lost to us. Also compared to how far Stanford, Oklahoma State, and Oklahoma fell after their losses.
I still maintain Alashama Mulligumpnecks did not to deserve a do-over. Oklahoma State deserved it, but were cheated by mystifyingly biased and unfair BCS human poll voters and coaches who voted OSU fifth or sixth......

Hell no they didn't deserve a mulligan. Not when there was a deserving Big 12 champ sitting there. Should have an asterisk.

Regardless, this is why it's hard for me to get so jacked about the Bama game. Bc we'll never get to return the favor in a BCS game, and the regular season games don't matter as much as we once thought.

Oklahoma State deserved it,
when you dont win all the games you are subject to bad luck. they deserved nothing. if they won em all and something happened that would be different, but all they had to do was beat a Big 12 Vanderbilt and they failed

More like the regular season doesn't count at all.

Anyway, Vegas should give odds on Bama being granted a win AFTER they lose the game. That would be more fun, IMO.

This is pure gold coming from a fan whose team lost their biggest game of the year, at home, and then did not have to win the conference to get back into consideration.

Yet, somehow, they still managed to do some things Bama didn't. You know, like beat more ranked teams, win their division, then win their conference.

More power to you guys, though. Hundreds of other BCS schools would love to garner the special consideration Bama will get when it comes to the postseason.

Did i say we deserved it more? no. i said when you throw a bunch of 1 losses in a hat a draw one somebody gets lucky and someone doesnt. However, you cannot bitch cause you didnt win them all. If they would have gone over us, same thing. You cannot complain unless you are undefeated.

Meanwhile, your school was hanging its hat on a loss. The most glorious loss in the history of team sports to be sure. At home. To a team led by Jordan Jefferson.

so it was pathetic that we lost to LSU? Jordan Jefferson led #1 LSU > unranked nobody Iowa State.

you can joke about the loss all you want but i think you realize an OT loss to #1 > loss to unranked nobody

Irrelevant. Game won't count if LSU wins.

Sincerely, ESPN

Irrelevant. Bama never loses.

I hope you didn't pay a bunch of money for tickets to a game that won't count when LSU wins.

I sold my tix and got a huge chunk of my season ticket $$$ back. Damn near paid for the entire package.
