What's the difference between us and other SEC schools that can compete in basketball and football.

What do you mean by "compete" and, other than Alabama, who are you talking about?
Alabama's success has a lot to do with their massive surges in enrollment the past 10-15 years (thanks to their football team).

LSU can compete in most sports including MBB and football. We have just had two straight poor MBB seasons due to our AD firing our successful MBB HC.
