The only time he should be on the court is when he is on fire on offense. If not, sit him because he is a liability on defense.

Dean.

When it's not Dean shift Reed to the 5 and Fountain at the 4.

Not hard

Sit for what? We have 1 game left now, but maybe earlier in the year? Just not many options other than him.

Playing out of position because we have no true big man. He's a forward type, not a center type. Better get a big man out of the portal for next season!

I really think he is allergic to rebounding.

When he dribbles in the lane with the ball, it is a turnover waiting to happen.

Also, sometimes when he gets a rebound, comes down with it and tries to dribble, it seems like half the time the opponent takes the ball away from him. The result? Yet another turnover.

you know if the game and all the other athletes were just a little bit slower and less athletic,... he'd be dominant.....)

Baker has had good moments for us and yes he gets a lot of criticism here and that can sometimes take ugly turns and that's unfortunate.

But he really compromises us defensively and compounds that by not being able to rebound near to the level of someone his size and playing the position that he does. And if you isolate on him defensively, you can really see how significant his issues are there, it was glaring last night.

The significance of it is that he almost has to score 20 points and be very efficient offensively to justify his minutes. He's done that a few times this year, but was not even close to that last night.

Yeah, Dean is marginally better at D and rebounding, but outside of his pick and roll game he brings very little offensively.

I've been wanting to see more Reed and Fountain in at the same time for a while now. Finally saw it for the first time in a long time last night when the game was over at the end and we were pressing. I think it would give us more defensive versatility, better on defending the high screens that Dean and Baker both really struggle with.

A tall player should never bring the ball down low before he goes up. He dies and it gets knocked out of his weak hands. Just go to with it instead of bringing it down before he goes up for shot

Agree. If baker isn't on in first 5 minutes bring Dean in. Baker has the step back 12 footer all the time but for some reason wants to turn his back to the goal and dribble. he can hit that shot and if he did would open up the lane and also give him options. Hopefully Chest and Collins will help next year plus a solid big man in the portal.

Last night Dean and Baker combined for 38 minutes played, 5 points and 3 rebounds. Neither were very good

This is who Will Baker is!! IF he wants to play hard he is a very good player for LSU. When he checks out, he really checks out and does not try to do anything. He has talent, but no excuse a man his size not banging under basket. You know after the first 5-10 mins in the game what your getting from him. Not sure if you notice, but MMcman knows this as well and has tried to run the offense through him MANY of the last games.
Baker makes his shots early he plays harder, misses shots dude disappears in all aspects of the game. MMcman is well aware of this.

The Bakery is always open.
What you see is what you get with Baker and he has limitations but he has had his moments this season.
A little late in the season to just toss him to the curb when that's all you have along with Dean.
