Landry had a career week as the Prairieville, Louisiana, native led the team at the plate hitting .813 with a 1.375 slugging percentage, .778 on-base percentage and 10 RBIs. She had multiple hits in four of the five games on the week, including hitting two doubles, two triples and a home run to finish the week 13-for-16 with seven runs scored.
At one point on the weekend, Landry reached base safely in eight consecutive plate appearances, including having at least a hit in six straight at-bats. She finished a single short of the cycle against Georgia Southern hitting a triple first, then a double and then a three-run home run, driving in four RBIs in back-to-back games.

Thats Great! Funny how with all the sports I watched this weekend I saw nothing of her exploits in the highlights...

Not to many follow women's sports at LSU.
Bad thing is, two of the best 3 sports on campus are Gymnastics and Softball

absolutely true!...they do stack in the crowds compared to those same sports at other schools, though.

Softball was highest revenue sport after Big 3 (football, mens basketball, and baseball) last year by a significant margin.

If you look at net revenue they were one of the biggest losers but I dont care. I love to watch them. Main reason is because they are really good.
The other anomaly on the revenue list was gymanastics. They must give those tickets away. They often pack the house. Again another quality product.

plenty do but you should know it IS a niche sport and a small world. Most followers are coaches or have family or daughters who play/have played. Go look at the stupid responses from some of the regular rantards in that thread about women's sports losing money. SOftball is the best LSU sport behind football right now. Yes better than baseball AS OF NOW. How about cut some of the other sports that are a waste and are not as popular as softball? LSU softball has a great winning program. softball is the best women's sport at LSU hands down.
A clown in that thread is actually bitching about the softball chants.
ULL's best sport is SOFTBALL! FACT!
