i always thought people just pronounced it incorrectly. but seeing it spelled that way makes it worse i think.

Kids from Louisiana don't regret their choices until their NFL dream is dead and they come back home to make a living. Travon Reed is nothing special as a player, and he'll be back in Houma/Thib in a few years working odd jobs. Robinson will probably get a chance at the next level.

I would bet they are just fine. They are at the school they wanted to go to.

exactly, why do people think that if a player is on a team that is not as good as another team, that he's unhappy with his decision. Players are not fans, plus there's a lot more to college than playing on a better team. Like all 17 y/old kids, they thought they would bring titles to where ever they went and if it turns out that they don't so what, as long as they enjoyed college. My last 2 years at LSU our FB was garbage, still had a good time and got a degree.

why would they regret their decision then? You think he can't get a job because he spurned LSU? I got news for you, there are a lot of people in La that do not care too much about football and there are plenty that don;t even like LSU A friend of mine's dad runs a business in La, he's not a sports fan at all. sure he roots for LSU to win, but he couldn't name 5 players on the team, let alone recruits that didn;t sign with LSU 5 years ago.

Really? You know this how? Cause you are bitter he didn't sign with your favorite team? Maybe he will get his degree, and a decent job.

Moot not mute. Good point, though about it working both ways. I'll probably be killed for this, but Mingo might have won a heisman if he had gone somewhere that he could have played outside in a 3-4.

he seems to be doing ok!! NFL scouts have him as the #1 WR in college right now as a junior!
You think 2 years with JJ would have gotten him that rep?? The kid made the right decision

It's not that he can't get a job. But there's a whole network of businessmen who take care of ex LSU players. It's a very real advantage, and I've seen it in action with one kid. I don't think it should be that way, but it is.

Both Reed and Robinson are seeing the field a lot more at Auburn than they would have at LSU.

Reed will eventually be the go to receiver, like Blake, if he can stay healthy.

Robinson is playing LT, and getting a chance to hone his skills there, which is a much more valuable commodity for the NFL. I don't think he ever takes a snap at tackle at LSU.

It really comes down to what they perceive as success. If the game is about personal accomplishments for them, they're probably pretty satisfied right now.

If they're team players, they have to be envious of LSU. I do think they risk an easier route to eventual career success outside of football by leaving the state.

No doubt in my mind. Not that they may not acheive this out of state, but the odds are not quite as good for them. And, I'm sure stats would hold true in this case.
