If the fricking players have to hear a song "get hype" (such a fricking stupid saying) to play a top-10 football team then we're already screwed. Also I highly doubt they play either song for the players. They play it for the fans and more fans would rather listen to "Callin' Baton Rouge" than some rap song that sounds like I did it in thirty minutes in my garage.

I didn't down vote you but it's probably because go DJ isn't the kickoff song it's only on kick return whereas I'm from Louisiana was only on kickoffs

I don't care what they play, so long as it's not OBVIOUSLY for the middle aged Club Section crew more so than the 18-22 year old college guys warming up.
The sound guys/PA crew are clearly not paying one lick of attention to what's happening on the field during warmups as they role out the classic rock. The USCe game featured the LOOOOOOOOONG version of Foghat's Slowride, and then rolled out...and I'm not making this up...a fricking live version of Men At Work's Down Under.
What in the actual frick?
Players were looking to crawl under the benches as Slowride went on and fricking on...ugh.
How about they play stuff designed to get the players excited to be there, rather than comforting background music designed for the middle aged crowd likely not even in the damn stadium yet?
*I say this as a 45 year old white guy...

Clearly you have never played in a big game in your life. Cause I can guarantee you, music or not, playing a top-10 Florida team in TS at night should be all the motivation they need. Add all the shite talking Florida has been saying and you could play "You Were Always on my Mind" out there and the players would still be motivated.

Not a huge fan of GO DJ, but with D. Jackson returning the kicks the song is a good fit. The Boosie song is junk, why do we HAVE to have a kickoff song anyway. What happened to just yelling OOHHHHHHHHH before kickoff?

So by your logic we should all just sit on our hands and not yell (which I'm sure you're one of the ones that do that anyway) because the only thing they need is just to know its a big game. Sorry you weren't athletic and didn't play any sports bro. Oh and I've played in a few big games haha.

No, dumbass, by my logic it shouldn't fricking matter what's played. By my logic if the players aren't excited enough for the game without having to hear one of the worst songs I've ever heard then I kinda question what in the frick they're out there for. It's a football game, not a fricking dance party.
