There was one play earlier that game where Dorsey exploded out of his stance, threw the offensive lineman back 5 yards and made the tackle for loss.

This is that play

Awesome. And of course had to fast forward to the final play

Jesus Christ in heaven above. That deserves a permanent ban from the sport in every league now or ever.

I don't think Dorsey was ever the same after that.

?? He went on to go 5th overall in the NFL draft and play years in the NFL and put up pretty solid numbers, went out in November 2015 with torn acl.

Ramsey (the chop blocker) went on to (ironically) sue his trainer for mismanagement of his rehabilitation.

We haven't had a D lineman like that in quite a while.

Blame Chaz, blame Tubby, blame the Auburn AD at the time, but

I distinctly remember the most infuriating thing about that play was the fact that there is a guy in stripes STARING AT THE frickING LINE not 10 yards away that doesn’t throw a flag.

And you can see it in that gif.

My many years of watching SEC it is my belief that Auburn (particularly), AR and MSU have had some of the dirtiest players.

That chop on Dorsey should have resulted in permanent NCAA suspension. Then, was it last year twice in one game the MSU player intentionally jumps and steps on the gut of one of our linemen...twice in one game. As well as another game during the season.

That ruined the rest of his career as a dominant player. Both at LSU and the NFL.

My response exactly.

But hey, all of the SEC is on the up-and-up when it comes to officiating!
