I'm guessing that's because of where you were sitting. Auburn's band has a MUCH bigger/better sound than LSU.

You just "thought" you were hearing the LSU band. You were actually hearing the Auburn band.....even when they were showing the LSU band!

Wrong. Again.

Bless your heart.

I guess brains really do hear things differently!

Re: thinking we were hearing the LSU band and it actually being the Auburn band, unless they were playing our 1st, 2nd and 3rd down songs, it was def our band.

Also, I was just talking about our sound. The halftime show isn’t actually that great, it does seem high-school-ish, trying to be trendy. But if it’s simply to entertain, I guess it’s entertaining.

Auburn band is legit and what Tiger Band used to be like. Pretty the director is a former LSU guy

Tiger Band may never recover from the hostile takeover by the school of music. It really is a disgrace what happened

I get that you want this to be true.

It was obvious to everyone in the stadium last night that the Auburn band is better in every way measurable than the LSU band.

Um, no. This is how I know you blew your tryout for The Golden Band from Tigerland when you had your chance. I’m sure it hurt, but they have standards. You’ll get over it one day, just be patient.

Also, I loved hearing the boos rain down when we closed out the halftime show with our pregame. Awesome.

So, YOU had the perfect seat in the stadium to evaluate. OK.....

It didn’t come across that way on TV. I heard the LSU band a lot and didn’t notice Auburn’s. But that could be because of where the microphones were.

Hostile takeover from the school of music? Lol what are you talking about. The SOM and Tiger Band are much less related than you think. Changes for better or worse are more related to the recent shuffling of band directors in the last several years. Following Roy King’s firing.

Tiger Band alum and should've been on speed dial when LSU was looking to hire a new director for Tiger Band, but he never got a call

Instead, we hired that pompous arse as director.

Clearly a fact-filled and objective opinion. Since the bands don‘t get to score points, care to be a little more specific?

Auburn's band is one of the best in the SEC. Tiger Band used to be, but not so much now, although I'm surprised that we brought the full band to Auburn. AU's band director is a Tiger Band alum and should've been on speed dial when LSU was looking to hire a new director for Tiger Band, but he never got a call.

I couldn’t agree more.

TGBFTL is a shell of what it once was. It’s a shame the LSU school of music has allowed this to happen.

Don’t be dumb. Why is it all of a sudden cool to hate on everything LSU? How many of you criticizing our band were ever actually in Tiger band? Those kids put in a shite ton of work to support this university, beginning with fall camp, which usually are 12+ hour days. I’ve been through it. It’s grueling.
