who do you prefer to hear covering the SEC football. I have made the permanent switch to 680 the Fan. I hate 790, especially now since they got rid of Hometeam

I pick IPOD usually.

But I'd much rather listen to Mike and the King on 790 in the afternoon than Buck and Kincade. Those guys always sound like they are reading from a script, not having a conversation.

And Chuck (the King) knows more about college football than anyone else in town, Barnhart included.

i dont like Afternoon Saloon, Mike Bell is way over the top. King is good, i admit that but he was better with Matt Chernoff. BArnhart is an idiot and homer and he lets it be known. His jealousy of LSU is quite evident.

I haven't listened to that shite in about 7-years. Belue, what a homer. The content from either station is just not worth listening to. The AJC had an article yesterday saying David "Motor" Pollock is joining the 4-7 790 show, who cares?

It's tough to listen to either of them for long. I switch around based upon topic. Most days they both suck and Hannity is on my radio

I can't stand the smugness of Kincaid and Belue, and I didn't like listening to the 2 Live Stu's when they were on either. I don't mind the Afternoon Saloon to much.

Neither are great, occasionally later in the night if I am driving around I can pick up 870 and try to hear some Saints or LSU talk.

I'm a huge Mike Bell fan. I used to play basketball with Steak "Give Me The Rock" Shapiro many years ago.

790-The Zone

I got Sirius about a year and a half ago though - listen to Howard Stern mostly.

I like 790 better although I miss Mike Bell being on the morning show.
The Kang is great and I will send him emails of breaking LSU news. He is great about answering emails although he has told me off the air that he loathes LSU because he was on the sideline as an Auburn offensive lineman for the earthquake game and that we "stole" an SEC Championship from them that night.

680 is ok and I will listen when 790 gets too far off topic.
Jim Donnen is on now and most of his talk is about the dawgs. He sounds like Junior from Hee Haw, lots of dead air and gets it wrong most of the time when talking about anybody but UGA.

Barnhardt either has a blind spot or just doesn't like LSU because he never gives us much credit and prefers to highlight our negatives.
Buck and Kincaid I usually know what they are going to say before they say it and Kincaid is a prick who just tries to get people riled up.

I like Buck and Kincaid, Buck is actually very high on LSU this year. 790 the zone just flat out sucks, has terrible reception, and a bunch of Yankees talking about drinking and banging girls all the time instead of football.

Now there's a reason not to listen to the radio.

I switch between both but 790 gets annoying when the hosts start trying to do impersonations that aren't funny to begin with and go on for half the show. 680 devotes a lot more of its time to college football and isn't as congested with UGA fans all the time.
