Ryan Wright (@RyanWrightRNG)
The 2017 schedule gets serious during the first week of October with a trip to The Swamp to take on Florida. A visit to Oxford could be a trap game for LSU with Alabama looming following a bye. The final four games of the season offer no gimmes with Bama, home for Arkansas, at Tennessee, and back to Death Valley to face Texas A&M. The Razorbacks could be another stumbling block for the Tigers if there is a letdown after the Crimson Tide showdown. Auburn could play spoiler in the SEC West in 2017.

Steven Lassan (@AthlonSteven)
The Tigers are a few paces behind Alabama in the SEC West, but coach Ed Orgeron’s team has a shot at a New Year’s Six bowl and double-digit win season. However, in order to contend for a College Football Playoff spot or a finish among the top five in 2017, Orgeron needs more out of his offense. New coordinator Matt Canada should help this unit take a step forward,

Bryan Fischer (@BryanDFischer)
Say what you want about Ed Orgeron taking over full-time at LSU but it’s hard to find a team with a better one-two coordinator punch than what the Tigers have in OC Matt Canada and DC Dave Aranda. LSU always has one of the more talented teams in the SEC and now the Tigers may finally have the staff to get the most out it (especially on offense).

Antwan Staley (@antwanstaley)
Ed Orgeron begins his first full season as LSU’s head coach and the schedule is tough but manageable. The Tigers open their season against BYU in a neutral-site game at NRG Stadium in Houston. SEC road games have LSU playing at Mississippi State, Florida, Ole Miss, Tennessee and Alabama. Running back Derrius Guice will be tasked with carrying the Tigers’ offense. Defensively, the Tigers bring back enough talent to keep them among the best units in the SEC. LSU could win as many as 11 games in the regular season, but I have the Tigers going 10-2.

Rob McVey (@Rob_UTVOLS)
Aside from a difficult schedule that features just three SEC home games, the biggest obstacle facing LSU in 2017 will be the implementation of a brand-new offense.

There is more in the article. I just copied a small portion of what the voters had to say. There are also 4 paragraphs before the game picks.

Why is everyone predicting Auburn to come into Tiger Stadium and win? Auburn rarely lives up to the hype they get.

10-2 or 9-3 sounds fair, but I think LSU beats Auburn. One guy picked BYU. That's interesting.

I agree that Auburn is the 2nd biggest threat to LSU outside of Bama, but surprised no one picked us to beat them. Being at home and considering how we were 1/10 of a second from beating them last season I think this is the game where LSU actually plays beyond their abilities and wins in a dominating fashion. It seems it has been a while since LSU has beaten a team they weren't supposed to (unless you count Louisville). I think this is the game.

This Auburn shite has to stop, for real 1999 is a long time of losing.

I'm more of going to Florida or here against Arkansas and dropping one of those than Auburn coming here.

Well that's a dumb statement.. for the past few years the only team consistently picked to beat us is bama

well, they return a ton of starters and brought in a transfer QB that looks to be very good. Gus can do well with a good QB (hell, he even did well with Nick Marshall at QB). They just had nothing at QB the last couple years.

I'm not too proud to admit I'm worried about Auburn.

The near consensus winning at FL and across the board confidence that we lose to Auburn at home is a head scratcher for sure. Almost like they are mixed up on the road games.

People believe a little too much in Stidham. Kid may well be all world. But basing that opinion on his mop up duty/3 starts in 2015 is a little ridiculous.

I am pretty shocked that no one picked us. They do realize that Auburn has not beat us in Tiger Stadium since 99', right? Don't get me wrong, I know that streak has to come to and end at some point but it's not like we are being projected to finish last or second to last in the west

The sad thing is think we could very well be 3rd in the west and 1st in the east(obviously if we were in the east)

Malzahn has had good/great teams when he's had a QB. Is Stidham that guy at Auburn? Who knows?

However, while I know the streak has to end at some point, until AU beats LSU in Tiger Stadium I can't pick LSU to lose. That game hasn't been close (in TS) since 2007

We'll see how the season goes but as of right now we should not expect to beat Auburn. Bama is obviously a probable L. Florida will be very tough and I imagine we'll throw up a stinker in a game we're not expecting. 9-3/8-4 is what expectations should be.
