For Simmons. Even the commentators bashing Jones at end of game. He is a terrible coach. Plain and simple.

SIMMONS DOESNT HAVE A GREAT OFFENSIVE GAME.

Everyone keeps bashing on his lack of touches and scoring. He should be calling for the ball. There are also plenty of possessions where we try to get the ball into him but he's not big enough to muscle his way down there.

What? Did he even miss a shot? Lol. U still have to draw up iso plays. Which he cannot.

Great recruiters who can't coach should be assistants.

Most of Simmons points per game come in transition. We attempt to feed him the ball constantly and it does not work. If you paid attention to the games you would see this.

Jones is not one of the best recruiters; he just has great recruiters on staff.

No, Jones is a great recruiter. His coaching leaves a lot to be desired though.

It's hard to run a play for a guy who is mortified by shooting the ball outside of 7 feet.

We lost the game when JJ slowed it down. We lost momentum then. Instead, we should have had Ben post down low adn make him touch it every time we came down teh floor. As we as he passes, when OK collapsed on him others would have gotten layups and short jumpers. WE should have won this one!

1. Jones is a victim of the Ben Simmons hype. Ben is a great talent. IMO, he will not make a huge impact in the NBA next yr., particularly if he goes to a shitty team, which he most assuredly will as the #1 pick.

2. Why exactly will Simmons be the #1 pick? Who said that?

3. I love Simmons, love his game. "Draw up plays in the NBA?!" For a guy who at present has no jump shot to speak of??

4. frick Muleface Musberger.

5. Jones is a good coach and a perfect fit for LSU.

6. Can you assholes stop making EVERY SINGLE frickING GAME A frickING REFERENDUM ON JONES' frickING JOB??!!! GOOD frickING GRIEF!!!!!

U mad bra? You definitely have no idea what you are saying.

So because he doesn't shoot every time he has no jump shot? He made his one or two he took today. He can shoot but he is not put in the opportunities to shoot.

And who says he is #1??? Just everyone on the planet.

Jones is a perfect fit? Awesome. You like nice guys who can make it to the nit with top talent.

Yeah OK, whatever.

Simmons should stay another year and work on his game. Like developing a jump shot. He has none, at least one he's confident in taking.

He's a great kid, and a great player. Jones is using him the right way. The fact is, Simmons will be picked by some really shitty team (Milwaukee? Some hinterland? Sacramento?) and he won't make a huge impact. At present, he's not a shooter. Yes, he can score in transition, drives to the basket, free throws, alley oops. All good things. But his lack of a jump shot will make him easier to defend in the NBA.

Again, he should stay another year. Of course, if I were him, and I knew I'd be the #1 pick and make millions, I'd go, too. But the fact is, he ain't ready to make a huge impact in the NBA. The national media, with their "he can't wait to get to the NBA," w/ their stupid "Green Room" shows, really do not do this kid a good service. His COACH, Johnny Jones, does have Ben's best interests at heart.

But of course, since you read in ESPN the magazine that Simmons will be the #1 pick, then of course, LSU is not using him right, and Jones sucks as a coach.

Lakers Sixers or Nets probably.

You think him playing under Jones again will help his shooting? He can practice anytime with a private coach if he wants. you lrobabky think Coach Cal is a great X's and O's coach because he won a title.

And lol at ESPN. Try every single NBA writer on earth. You have no idea. None.

Point is, Ben Simmons should be calling for the ball. The best players always do.

I talked to my dad when leaving about the game. He stayed at home and watched and said Vitale mentioned Simmons is "too passive." That is dead on. He has good game but he is way too passive. With his skill set he should always demand the ball.

Really?? J. Martin was a local kid and Mickey's brother was here playing football. He happened upon Ben Simmons, who brought along Tone. If David Patrick is not on the staff, neither of them even give LSU a visit. Then, he follows up the #3 class with the #52 and does not sign any of the top 5 players in his own state? The #1 player in the state next year is going elsewhere, as well.

I agree with that, the role players did a great job tonight, at the end, last 3 minutes the game should have come down to Ben Simmons, win or lose with your only superstar. Had he demanded the ball more at the end, who knows, but I like our chances.

Completely correct. In the same breath, Ben has to grow some balls and take the ball to the hoop. When you're 6/6 shooting at halftime, if you don't get at least 20 shots in the game, it's a failure
