Our pastor stepped the the pulpit and his first words were,"I woke up this morning and I thanked God I wasn't the head coach of LSU".I got to admit, when a man of God says that,God must be trying to say something.

Some Longhorn and Aggie fans were telling me in church they were sorry for me. One guy that I did not know commented "yall should fire that guy!".

Les is screwed. Even if he keeps his job for now, he will never live this down.

Les screwed himself.

He's been in over his head throughout his entire head coaching career.

yeah I go to Ole Miss and my friends instead of talking shite just feel sorry for me. They are all saying "damn, Les gave us that game". It's worse than heckling. It's like when your parents are disappointed instead of mad.

I'm a pastor in NC and while I didn't preach this morning (good thing after last night) I was asked several times about the game because they know my love for LSU. My answer was, "God loves stupid people too!". That's as nice as I could be about it.

Man I sat there when he said it and all I could do was laugh. You wait all year for LSU football and it takes your preacher 10 seconds to sum up the whole season.

That's the damn truth. He could win the national title the next 10 years in a row - he won't ever live this down.

Without a doubt, this was Miles Waterloo. You are so right , he could win MNC after MNC and this debacle last night will still stay in people's minds. Just like Dale Brown and the Tigers losing a 30 point lead to Kentucky in basketball. Never Forgotten. Just like the great tight end Jackie Smith that played all the great years for St. Louis Cardinals and then dropped the winning touchdown pass for Dallas against Pittsburgh. Forget all his previous great catches and etc., he will always be remembered for that dropped pass. Fess Irving who went to my Old alma mater, EA, dont matter what he did, he missed the 2 free throws agaings Bobby Knight's Hoosiers and that is what he is remembered for. I can go on and on with examples. Suffice it to say that Les Miles will never live down last night.

Bill Buckner will always be remembered for the error of a grounder scooting through his legs to lose the 6th game of the '86 AL Championship to the Yankees. Nothing else mattered after that. Not that he had over 2700 career hits in a 20 year career. Only one thing. This.

This is Miles' Bill Buckner moment.

Yep.

My morning at church started with one of our members introducting me to a visitor because he was from the South. Guess what? A frickin' Ole Miss alum.

Football in general is a game that is too fast for Les Miles to comprehend... too many responsibilities. I think he would make a great Coordinator though.
