-An undefeated P5 conference champ getting in
OR
-A one-loss SEC champ getting in

Which precedent is more breakable?

3 undefeated conference champs
1 loss champ that beat the other 1 loss champ.
Pretty cut and dry

A 5-team playoff fixes the issue, but that isn’t in play this season either

Would be easy to leave a 1 loss SEC team out this year as we have not been as solid of a conference this year

Texas is getting in. If FSU wins tonight, they are getting in. The committee would lose any and all credibility with the rest of the nation if they didn't.

Why does setting a “precedent” for a 4 team playoff matter when they’re expanding to 12 next year?

Only debate from now will be between a 2-loss team or 3-loss team & let’s be honest, nobody outside the top 10 will win a natty

Because that’s what we have this year. And the precedents have already been set, the question is which are they going to be more compelled to break tomorrow

Look at Florida State’s resume. They will have run the table, beaten their conference rival with their 2nd QB, won their conference championship with their 3rd string QB, and their 2nd guy is coming back.

Bama on the other hand, shite the bed against their rival, and lost to Texas. The committee has SEC fatigue as it is.

Would you feel like LSU deserved to be out of the playoffs if Jayden Daniels was out for the season, Nussmeier beat aTm, Ricky Collins won the SECCG and Nuss was coming back for the playoffs? Not happening.

I don’t think anyone on the committee gives a shite about precedent… they want to put the best 4 teams in

Think again. They will need an excuse to justify whatever decision they make . And you better believe Boo Corrigan is going to want to sound much more articulate than he did on Tuesday when trying to explain Oregon’s ranking

The one loss SEC champion wants in? Maybe don’t lose at home by double digits to another one loss conference champion.

Hard disagree. Feels like a 10pt win, if I were to throw a dart.

FSU should get in over Bama. I don’t understand how this is even a discussion
