Well said, Oyster! I love Les because he's "goofy" ... He's been goofy good ... goofier and gooder than any coach in LSU history ... He is the face of LSU football ... And will go 10-2 this season ... Watch!

I've loved LSU since I was a youngin, and sports are only a part of that. Maybe not even the biggest part.

this. Winning by 100 or losing by 100...I will always love my Tigers.

What's being completely forgotten is the troubling babysitter, positioning her vehicle not once but twice in harm's way.

When my youngest was still in diapers, me and my wife returned home from an evening out and excused our babysitter for the night. To my horror, there was a single cigar sized fecal deposit in our hallway toilet. The fact that she didn't flush was upstaged only by the fact that this renegade turd floated alone, completely unaccompanied by any paper.

This non-flushing, non-wiping teeny bopper was never again retained by us for sitting duties.

As goofy as les is I still support him.

When LSU had a dominant defense and won with pure talent, the goofiness was somewhat endearing. Now that we're no longer a dominant team, the goofiness is wearing a little thin and much less tolerable.

But it just doesn't make sense to change right now. It would be like cutting your nose off to spite your face.
Les is about to bring in the best recruiting class that has ever come to LSU. Not just this year the next couple of years are going to be great for La. We will get most of these recruits.
Why would you want to set this program back years?
You would have to be a fool to want to change coaches right now.
Why because he has lost a handful of games the last few years?
Or is it because the way he has lost some games?
Whatever the reason it's stupid.

I watched the whole game when McElroy and Hill sliced up the Tigers 45-7 and again when Shaun Alexander ran berserk on our D.

You couldn't sit through that if performance was the only criteria.,

If you have to ask yourself this question you are not a true Tiger fan (IMO).

I experience joy when they win and sadness when they lose.

Would I quit on them? I never have and never will.

I came close to quitting on the Saints once because of Jim Haslet and Aaron Brooks, but I stuck it out and was rewarded with Sean Payton and Drew Brees.

Living away from Louisiana gives me a much deeper appreciation for it all. Cant wait to come home.

Most of the vocal ones do. The vast majority love LSU football regardless

I guess that's why attendance for basketball is so bad because fans love LSU through thick and thin.

That's on the locals. It's just not feasible for out of towners to make basketball games on a regular basis. I used to be a season ticket holder, but living three hours away, I couldn't be there often enough to justify it economically.

Is your love for LSU based on performance?

Started when my Uncle took me to campus as a child and saw Mike III. Grandfather worked the games as a Sheriff, got us in free, we ran around everywhere (like kids do). P&G forever.

I hear you. I agree with you. People should do whatever they want to do with their money. I disagree with the original post in this thread. If they aren't satisfied with what they are seeing then it's their right to stay home or not buy tickets. My advice is it's your money and time so nobody can tell you how to support LSU. You have your reasons for doing what you do. That's your business.

Good way to put it!

And you can still be a fan without being a fanatic!! Fans have a right to boo/not boo, cheer/not cheer, attend game/stay home (if u stay home at least try to give your tiks to someone that will go). LSU has the best fan base in the nation, bar none!!! Sure, we can be moody, but we support and love our team like no other. Maybe that's way we are so demanding???

I remember quite well, sitting through many a beatdown in the 90s. I distinctly remember being excited to go to TS to watch members of the opposing team. I knew LSU would lose, but I didn't care. I was going to see my team play.

Eventually ended up working there and getting two degrees from there.

I don't give a shite if they win or lose. LSU will always be the best at everything in my mind.

At the end of the day, the University was an avenue that helped me attain degrees that have allowed me to facilitate a comfortable life for me and my family. That is what an Academic Institution is for.

When LSU wins a game in any sport, I don't get a bonus check in my mailbox. When LSU loses, I don't have any money deducted from my bank account. Teenagers playing a game has no effect on my livelihood.

The worse LSU performs, the more I hate LSU fans.
