I take it as a bad thing initially. Means some we have huge expectations for aren't living up to their billing. Could easily be that's he's just that good but practice reports hint more to others underachieving.
Two things can be true.
I think this is setting the standard for Denver Harris,,,you have to be this good, work this hard, give this much effort. But good for Stamps! Hope he’s the real deal.

Ran with the 1s at todays scrimmage but had a rough day. He’s gonna be a solid cb though
To me this makes perfect sense. Dude has a ton of natural talent but is still a bit raw and unpolished, hence his 3 star rating. That type of dude can run with the 1’s and his talent will show but he will also get beat some due to being a bit raw. BUT…give this guy a couple years in the system getting coached up so that his fundamentals match his raw talent and you have a solid starter or good back up by his junior and senior year.
This is why I don’t freak out when we don’t have 23 five stars on signing day. Everyone can’t be a starter. You need developmental players too that know they won’t be starting right away but are still busting their arse to get to that point . These are the guys that fill out the practice squads and help the starters get ready.
TL/DR…Stamps is a dude and will be huge contributor during his time at LSU

He may have had a rough day but a good student uses that as experience. Throw him in the deep end now. He'll be better for it when it matters most.

Not necessarily overlooked but isnt this his sixth year? I just mean he’s no where near who he was six years ago
