For UGA being ranked ahead of us. I understand Bama and Oklahoma (and obviously Clemson) but considering LSU stomped a whole in Georgia last year and we have been proven while they haven't this year.... There's no excuse for them to be ahead of the Tigers. Just my 2 cents and may God bless the rant.

Georgia played close with Bama last year. LSU did not. That's the only basis I can think of.

we're only 2 games in - and these rankings don't matter anyway.
The only thing that matters for a program with championship aspirations is winning the SEC West, and being in the top 4 of the Playoff Selection Committee's rankings at the end of the year.
The rest is noise. Ignore it.

It's just an indicator of talent level and gives a foundation to make assumptions about power level of a team. For instance, if LSU could do what they did to UGA last year with not as good a o-line and a first year Joe Burrow, one can reasonably assume certain things to make an educated decision for LSU ahead of UGA

agree(see about a thousand texas posts!) but factoring in last year is what they do, so georgia shouldn't be ranked that high, but, as previously mentioned, it's meaningless with the playoff system(and this early in the year it always was)
