I mean look, I watched the game last night and some of the fouls that went against LSU were atrocious. But this seems to happen game in and game out, eventually there has to be something Will Wade can do to fix this. That's why they pay him the big bucks and not me

It is the style we play that leads to the fouls...he is responsible for the style we play. Have you ever seen him get on his players for stupid fouls?

I like the style of play and don't think it is that big of a factor in the fouls. I mainly think the only change in style of play we need is in our half court offense.

Have you ever been in a film session with the team?

Isn’t Wade the lowest or 2nd lowest paid coach in the SEC?

He’s consistently performed far greater than that.

Yep. He coached the team to play that way. He’s just not a good enough coach to teach them when and when not to be aggressive

Most of them yes. They need to teach them to stop swatting at the ball especially when a player is trapped already with two players. No need to slap at the ball like Wilkinson did last night.

someone needs to find out how many fouls we have 25 ft and further from the basket...those fouls are what causes us to get in foul trouble. hell just mix up playing super aggressive and token pressure

so he only coaches the team during practice is what you're saying? for that matter I have never seen him get on them for poor passing and effort...during a game. Have you?

Put in a complaint with the league.
Has he done that?

A coach can file a complaint with the league about the officiating, correct,

I recall that Miles did so after the 2006 loss to Auburn which has been referred to on this board a few times over the years as one of the worst officiated LSU football games ever.

Yes. Fouls way away from the basket, like the last foul of the game last night, are all on Wade at this point. This isn't game 5 of the year. It has been happening all year and yet we continue to do it.

Wade is responsible.

I would agree that Wade should be paid better than half the sec coaches with his performance but the question will be whether he gets that money or someone else at the next negotiation. No matter what, lsu is going to be paying their basketball coach more than what wade makes now.

LSU is going to pay more and demand more from its basketball coach

Instead of whining how about we just play tougher basketball? Typical soft AF light weight.

Absolutely. No excuse for Will Wade to foul players on the opposing team. Sets a really bad example for his players imo.

Some of them are stupid and fixable (Mwani hacking the trapped Arkansas player), some of them are the price of playing aggressively, and some of them are just egregiously bad (charges against Arkansas).

Uh, I've seen him go ballistic on the sideline for lack of effort when up by 20. Not sure what coach you have been watching.

Problem isn't fouls, although we could play smarter.
We don't have shooters.
I think it will be fixed soon.

Wade coaches aggressive defense, and that style is okay if you adjust to the officiating as the game progresses. A 'make them call fouls' strategy should be okay for a while, but when the officials start calling them you have to back off a little.

I think most of the players have gotten so aggressive that they have trouble backing off especially in road games where the home team usually gets a few marginal calls.
