Shores will pitch at the end of the season maybe and we saw noot and it was ugly but he will be better with some innings

Really hope Guidry can lift weights and get stronger in the offseason. Find some h
Velo and maybe a third pitch. His energy is exactly what we need coming out of the pen in the 8th or 9th to close things down v

We hope they will both come back better but we have no idea. We hoped for the same with Javen Coleman..

If he used some of the veteran pitchers they may have tied this game up

Topped out at 95 in high school and against SC last year. I wonder what’s changed?

Did not realize Guidry threw that hard last year. Went back and watched the end of G2 vs USCe last year (great comeback BTW). Of the pitches where the the velocity was shown, he hit 94 1X but was regularly at 93 on his fast ball.

Guidry vs USCe G2 last year 94MPH

He lost some velocity somewhere along the way.

That’s interesting. I didn’t remember him throwing that hard. Always assumed he was a 90-91 type of guy. Would be interesting to hear the coaches discuss or explain that drop off. The good news is he obviously has it, so now it’s just a matter of regaining it and hopefully adding a little to it which would make his off speed even more devastating
