I've been down on Les for a few years now, and wanted him replaced.

But I've always liked the guy a lot on a "personal" level. He's funny, and weird, and a generally good man, it seems. He was always a goofball, but he never represented LSU in a terrible way, I don't think. And he loved the school.

Its good that we are moving on, but 10.5 years is a long time. There are some small bittersweet emotions. I look forward to a new and better era of LSU football, and I hope I see Les as a commentator.

I like the guy on a personal level but it needed to be done and done a long time ago.

Firing a good man never feels good.

Les is a guy you just cant hate, just hated the way he couldnt get it figured out offensively. He won a lot of games and made football very fun here for a while. Most everyone has faults and he had is and ultimately it was undoing, but he had a good time here i think and we did with him too while it lasted.

I still think this all should have happened last season and it would have been handled much better. Would have liked a fresh viewpoint on this team in particular rather than the same ole same ole. This team had a chance to be great but now it's a transitional year at this point. I honestly think we may have done Les a favor getting rid of him now because i think if we keep him the team loses at least 3 more games, he has his worst season here ever, and completely loses fanbase support most importantly at home games which would really kill us. Can you imagine the boo birds and completely empty 3rd/4th quarter games this year? It would have been ugly.

I'm sad and feel weird right now. It's going to be a process, but I can't wait to actually cheer for LSU again.

I'll unashamedly admit I was cheering for Auburn to win Saturday for the greater good of the program.

I feel great about it. If he was really such a "good man" and wants "whats best for the players and LSU" then why didnt he see the writing on the wall last year, or even this year, and go out on top and preserve his legacy and integrity and retire? I mean, even Steve Spurrier had that much sense.

I dont have sympathy for delusional egomaniacs. Sorry.

He made winning unfun. Then he made losing fun/desirable. No, I'm elated he's gone.

Bittersweet for sure.

I want to see Les and Spurrier paired together on College Gameday or CBS. Would be the GOAT commentator duo.

Hes a great man, I hope he considers retirement with the amount of money he has or maybe volunteer at a high school.

Hopefully he sticks around baton rouge

I'm sad that a good person lost his job. But it had to be done.

Negatigers finally won. What will they do now when they can't complain about Miles or Cam?

Those that want something to complain about, yes.
